# Refund policy

> Payments for amodb plans are final. Paid access is not refundable for unused days, a change of mind or a plan that turned out too small. We refund only when the service was not delivered, for example when a paid plan never activated or one order was charged twice. Refunds are handled by hand through support@amodb.dev.

## The rule

amodb is the seller of every plan. Payments are final. A plan is prepaid access for a fixed period, and that access starts as soon as the payment is confirmed.

## When we refund

We refund the payment when the service was not delivered:

- you paid and your plan never activated
- one order was charged twice
- the API was unavailable to you for most of the paid period because of a fault on our side

## When we do not refund

- unused days at the end of a period
- a change of mind after the plan is active
- a plan rate that turned out too low; upgrade instead, unused days convert to the new plan by price ratio
- an account suspended or closed for breaking the [terms](https://amodb.dev/terms/) or the [acceptable use policy](https://amodb.dev/acceptable-use/)

## How to ask

Write to <support@amodb.dev> from your account email. Include the order id from Account, then Billing, the date and a short description of what went wrong. Every request is checked by a person.

An approved refund goes back through the payment provider that processed the payment, to the same method where the provider allows it. How long it takes to appear depends on the provider and your bank.

## Chargebacks

Please write to us before you open a chargeback. While a chargeback is open, the account is suspended.
